About Revela


Revela is looking for a full-time junior software engineer. Under the guidance of our software team lead, you will be involved with the ongoing development of our tooling and services for the machine learning industry. This includes design and refinement of our software architectures, improvement of our deployment environments, and building ML models for our tools.

Your core tasks will include:

  • Data analytics back-end software design

  • Participation in ground level design of our tools and applications

  • Developing processes to smooth the rollout of customized virtual data processing appliances to various cloud environments, at many different scale



The following technical skills are required to perform this work:

  • Python software development

  • Unit and integration testing

  • Familiarity with the linux shell

  • Git


The following experience/qualifications would be an asset to this job:

  • Undergraduate degree directly related to software systems development

  • Certificate from an online course in statistics, programming, or machine learning

  • ML model building and testing

  • Kubernetes administration

  • Docker container management

  • Python’s parallel programming facilities

  • Cloud development experience

Revela Systems Inc. is a data analytics start-up in Victoria, BC, with a core mission of helping companies get started with ML in ways that position them well for the future. We are developing tools to help companies build more effective machine learning models faster through active learning iterations. Active learning improves visibility into the inner workings of an ML model, which can enable teams to be more confident in their intelligent systems.
